SPRING FESTIVAL CENTRE, Mosul (Iraq)

The 'Spring Festival Centre' was proposed
in Mosul, a city with over one million inhabitants, northwest of Baghdad. The design concept included a stadium for 250, 000 spectators, theaters, cinemas, sports facilities and a planetarium. The project introduced a modification of the existing city transport system and included a proposal for a two-level bridge over the Tyger River. The form of the stadium complex was conducive to natural ventilation.
Awards: First prize for the design concept
in the international architectural competition, organized by the Ministry of Culture in Iraq.

 

WZGORZE GAJOWE in Wroclaw, Poland

'Wzgorze Gajowe' - an extreme sports centre
in Wroclaw, was our proposal for an unused site, located in southeast Wroclaw.
The concept introduced the formation
of a slope for skiers and snowboarders
(height of 55m and length of 350m) with additional sports & entertainment facilities.
To provide superb 360˚ views of the city by day and by night at the highest slope we have designed a tower with a café and bistro. 
Awards: competition winner selected for construction by Wroclaw City Council.
